Is God Really Fair?September 22, 2018
Dear Bill Billwill,
I have a riddle for you to figure out. What does every hall of fame NFL player have in common? The answer is quite simple: The tremendous athletic ability with which God endowed them. Now, let us take one of Arizona Cardinal’s wide receivers, Larry Fitzgerald as our example. God has given Mr. Fitzgerald the size, speed and other abilities to become a hall of fame football player. Mr. Billwill, have you heard the old saying, “God’s gift to us is life. What we do with our lives is the gift we give to God.” It is critical that we understand that God expects something great in return for the life and talents He has given to each of us.
How God created each of us often points to what God expects from our lives. The fact that we were created for a particular reason is one of the most significant problems with someone changing his or her gender. If we completely modify who we are, then we jeopardize and waste the potentials God has put inside of us that we can use to serve Him.
Who Larry Fitzgerald and other NFL players thank as they gain success in life says a lot about who they believe is responsible for giving them the talent that they have.
To have a sex change, in many respects, you will have to believe that we were randomly created by some force in the universe or in some ways that we are evolving as human beings. Incidentally, have you noticed that most of the theories floating around about how humankind came into existence are often designed to give us more permission to do what we desire with our lives? Whether evolution, the big bang theory, etc., whatever theory we subscribe to influences our mentality on how we see our rights and responsibilities as human beings.
As the LGBT community fight for more human rights and less moral responsibilities, it’s not surprising that most schools quit teaching the Bible’s perspective on creation. Why? The Bible makes it clear that the God of the Bible was the one who created us. He created us, and He has the right to tell us what to do. The people that think they were randomly created or evolved from a lesser species often don’t feel obligated to serve God with their lives.
How bad is it to reject God’s plan for our lives? If someone gave you a thousand dollars and told you to spend it in a particular way, you will be wrong if you spend the money the way you want to. God has given each of us the number of days to live on this earth. How we spend our days is up to us. However, there is one major catch. One day, God will judge our lives partially based on the plan He created for each of us. The only way we can understand God’s plan for our lives is to develop an intimate relationship with God and submit our daily choices to Him.
The lack of people who understand their purpose in life is helping to open the door for the transgender community to thrive.
If Larry Fitzgerald has had a sex change operation, he would have probably wasted most of the great athletic ability that God placed in him. In my view, when someone has a sex change, they are not only wasting some of the time that God has given them on this earth, but they will probably end up wasting much of the different abilities that God put in them to accomplish His plan for their lives.
When a transgender has a sex change, they are helping to influence people to believe that God just left us here to figure out life. We will never totally understand the purpose of life if we don’t believe the Bible’s account (Book of Genesis) about how life began. I believe the Bible is designed in such a way that it helps us discover why we are here on this earth.
In a gallop poll done in 2017, only 38% of Americans said God created man in its present form. For Americans to accept gender dysphoria, we needed to stop believing that we were born on purpose, with a purpose, and for God’s purposes. The growing number of people believing in evolution, for example, helps transgenders blend in the “crowd” of people who have no idea that they were put on this earth for a reason. A typical transgender spends his or her life trying to figure out why he or she is here instead of accomplishing the purpose why God allowed breath in his or her lungs.
As a growing number of Christians float through life without a real purpose, many don’t see anything wrong with having a sex change.
Whether we want to acknowledge it or not, God never intended for us to spend our time on this earth doing what we want to do. The number of people who are confused about their gender is a reflection of the growing number of people who are confused about the purpose of life. God would show transgenders why He put each of them on this earth if they would simply ask. Mr. Billwill, have you asked God why He created you? God is waiting to answer your question. All you have to do is just to ask.
